Description:This position is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting an established Radar Field Engineering Team. In this role the candidate will become a member of an established team working at the Syracuse facility supporting the TPQ-53 program. The candidate will be supporting multiple roles and duties daily. These duties include but are not limited to the following:

1) Troubleshoot radar and associated assemblies, subassemblies, mechanical and electronic system components for deficiencies and malfunctions.
2) Repair, remove, and replace defective components and parts.
3) Administrative duties as it pertains to the following activities:
a. Hardware security, test equipment tracking, purchase requisitions, equipment moves.
b. Prepare and maintain equipment logs in existing program databases as required
4) Perform other duties as assigned by the team lead:
a. Engineering change installation
b. General lab organization and support
c. Support other lab team members as required

Most of the work will be conducted at the Syracuse Facility. The candidate will be required to support domestic or international travel on an as needed basis as they grow in this dynamic role.
Basic Qualifications:
1) Willing to support domestic travel and international travel to low, medium, and high-risk security level countries as required.
2) Demonstrated skills in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting.
3) Demonstrated skills following established maintenance and test procedures.
4) Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and follow schematics and mechanical drawings.
5) Proficient using MS Office Software including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
6) Demonstrated skills utilizing different pieces of test equipment like a Digital Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, or a Signal Generator to name a few.
Desired Skills:
1) Previous field engineering and equipment support experience in support of a defense program.
2) Experience with the US Army Test & Evaluation community
3) Experience maintaining AN/TPQ-53, TPQ-36, TPQ-37, MPQ-64 radar system.
4) CDL license
5) Previous Military experience performing maintenance and operation of US Army systems.
6) Understanding of Unix/Linux operating system in the areas of file system navigation and commands.
7) Fiber Optics repair/cleaning/polishing
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $58,200 - $111,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
