Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

  • Prime interface with Engineering on development and demonstrator programs. Define and execute roles, responsibilities and processes to achieve overall program goals on cost and to schedule. Focal for all aspects of program communication and reviews with Supply Chain leadership.
  • Identify major initiatives and programs; deploy/utilize appropriate funding, manpower and technology maturation (MRL/TRL) to support product development, industrialization & transition to full production.
  • Establish plans and coordinate activities of multi-disciplined task teams with a collaborative focus for overall producibility and process capability while helping to architect novel manufacturing & inspection methodologies.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
  • Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, quality and engineering environment, including leading/directing teams of process engineers, specialists and individuals dedicated to hardware process development, manufacturability and industrialization)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an manufacturing, quality and engineering environment, including leading/directing teams of process engineers, specialists and individuals dedicated to hardware process development, manufacturability and industrialization.
