Job Description:

Job Overview:

Electrical Engineer 2 is involved in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components and works under the guidance of senior engineers and assists in various projects and tasks related to electrical design, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Essential Functions:

· Develop and maintain electrical system documentation including wiring diagrams and schematics.

· Analyze and interpret technical data, such as specifications, blueprints, and schematics, to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Familiarity with military standards related to reliability and safety is preferred.

· Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

· Plan and oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

· Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff as needed

· Research and design with respect to electrical load, function and environmental conditions.

· Extensive experience in MIL-Spec Wiring / harness design, installation and electrical integration.

· Extensive experience with ECAD tools and processes.

· Understanding of overall design / integration process, from initial definition, through all different stages, to completion on aircraft.

· Thorough understanding of configuration / document control.

· Knowledge of several electrical integration related aircraft domains (i.e. Design, Planning, Manufacture, Production, logistics, etc.)

· Familiarity with military standards related to reliability and safety is preferred.

· Excellent communication skills

· Hands-on experience using design and calculation software

· Familiarity with programming languages: C, Java, C++

· Knowledge and understanding of electrical manufacturing processes

Education/Certification:

BS/BA in Engineering or applicable field.

Experience:

  • 3 to 6 years of engineering experience
  • Experience in definition, coordination of all necessary parts, components, installation and interface requirements with relevant departments, customers & partners, to ensure safe, efficient / cost effective, compatible design.
