TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK

LOCATION: Portsmouth (Typically 3 days a week in the office, 2 days remote)

A vacancy for Electronics Hardware Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Portsmouth.  The successful candidate will join our Earth Observation, Science and Exploration business line and be part of the development of new microwave and radar payload systems.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

• Hardware Requirement Definition for Power, Analogue and High-speed Digital based electronic circuits and equipment

• Design of the electronic circuit and schematic generation with simulation and analysis of the designs

• Support to PCB design and layout and documentation and/or data in support of manufacturing of the PCB and equipment

• Testing of the electronic circuit/equipment and performing troubleshooting as appropriate

• Review and providing feedback of the electronic circuit design of other internal and external electronic designers

ABOUT YOU

• Strong and demonstrable experience in Electronic Design

• Experience in high-speed, analogue and power supply design.

• A good understanding of designs for space and component selection would be beneficial 

• Use of signal and power integrity analysis tools such as HyperLynx

• PC literate, MS Office, Google Suite
