Engineer- Aerospace Systems III

Renton, WA

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and verifying the implementation of the Fluids/Thermal Interface Control Documents (ICD) in MK1 lunar lander vehicle.
  • Define tests and verifications activities for Mk1 lunar lander vehicle Fluids/Thermal ICD and own the verification Data package for the ICD
  • Track thermal conductivity forMk1 vehicle major components to provide inputs for vehicle thermal analysis
  • Review, scrub, and update MK1 vehicle Component Temperature List (CTL)
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of Mk1 Fluids/Thermal vehicle requirements and verification data package
  • Lead or contribute to the vehicle level risks focused on thermal and fluids integration areas

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or related technical subject area
  • Deep technical knowledge in fluids and thermal subsystems in spacecrafts
  • Proven track record in developing and managing ICDs
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to thermal and fluids systems in aerospace
  • Knowledgeable of systems engineering practices, integration processes, and mission/safety critical systems
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g. Ansys, Matlab, CFD software)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Desired (but not required):
    • M.S. in Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical subject area
    • Experience in designing and integrating pressure and temperature interfaces in aerospace or any deep space lander systems
    • 5+ years of proven experience
    • Experience with full spacecraft design life cycle
