Job Location: Twinsburg, OH

This Engineering Manager I role is responsible for oversight of electrical/software/FPGA design and development functions for the site. They will be responsible for leading the electrical/software/FPGA engineering efforts and coordinating with other functional teams within Engineering in supporting New Product Development (NPD), R&T/R&D, and Bid & Proposal projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•tProvides leadership and motivation in managing the activities of the Conversion Engineering team (approximately 15 employees including Electrical/Systems/Software/FPGA Engineering) to ensure best performance from all within the group
•tResponsible for resource planning in line with business strategy, talent recruitment, training and mentoring of the NPD conversion engineering team to fulfill resource needs of the organization
•tResponsible for functional management coverage of multiple product lines involving various electrical engineering disciplines
•tInterface with the conversion engineering manager/director and other functional teams within the Engineering department in supporting New Product Development, R&T and Bid and Proposal projects
•tDevelop strong customer relationships to support gaining spanet credibility and route-to-spanet
•tIn collaboration with the conversion engineering manager/director, identify technology gaps and maintain the technology roadmap that will deliver differentiated product characteristics and new technologies
•tCollaborate with Engineering/Technical leadership to provide technical oversight and design assurance of all conversion engineering activities to ensure high quality of Engineering
•tMaintains familiarity with engineering tools and monitors trends in developing technology to anticipate future resource needs
•tWork effectively with other functional groups (mechanical engineering, programs, test lab, supply chain, business development, quality, etc.) to successfully achieve program milestones and other division goals
•tEvaluates performance of individuals for their quality of work and effectiveness in accomplishing assignments and implements corrective actions when necessary
•tAdheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture
•tEvening/night hours may be required
•tExtra hours may be required during business peaks

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•tManages a team of approximately 15 employees containing electrical, software, and FPGA firmware engineers
