SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervising engineers, coordinating production plans, and researching new procedures and products that they can use in future products. The Engineering Manager is responsible for hiring and supervising employees, and budgeting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Creating project plans that will help the organization meet the goals required for new products or designs.
Present and explaining budget and project proposals to all stakeholders.
Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts.
Confer with production, and outside management to determine product specifications
Manage the Engineering members. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit
Direct the activities of the engineering group including their interaction with maintenance function
Participate in site wide planning including capital management, inventory control, and others as required
Support Corporate and local initiatives (SAP, PIS, etc)
Oversee department development and training; facilitate special projects
Work with the accounting function to quantify, measure and report cost savings; work with the accounting function to quantify, measure and report project expenditures in insure project are on budget
Act as contact and facilitator of inter-company and intra-company initiatives
Effectively communicate company and department goals, achievements, problems, solutions, practices, changes, and policies. Encourage positive communication. Enforce all company policies, rules and regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor&39;s degree required, Masters preferred (engineering background highly desired)
6+ years related experience
Experience in managing highly technical industrial expansions (construction management skills desired)
Titanium experience would be very helpful (desired – not required).
Melting experience would be very helpful (desired – not required).
Ability and desire to manage in a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week manufacturing environment.
Ability to work hours as needed work with back-shift personnel, solve problems, and respond to emergencies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Statistical knowledge/experience highly desirable.
ISO9000 experience would be very helpful (desired – not required).
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all organization levels.
Personal Computer Skills (MS Office experience desired)
