Honeywell is hiring an Engineering Technician II that will report to the MEMS Sensors and IMU Senior Engineering Manager within Sensing, Guidance, and Navigation.  You will be part of a team that designs and develops test procedures and standards for highly complex products.  You will be a valuable member of our MEMS Sensor and IMU team based in Minneapolis.

 

You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and testing of our high-performance Inertial Measurement products for commercial, defense, industrial, and space applications. Your expertise and technical skills will contribute to the reliability and performance of our MEMS sensors and IMUs, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

 

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow established test procedures
  • Work with engineers to resolve any procedure or process issues
  • Work with engineers to identify opportunities for product or process improvements
  • Provide systems support and testing through product testing and evaluation, including integration, evaluation and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Provide feedback and test results to Engineers and project leaders
  • Manage equipment utilization, working with engineers and project leads to set priority and schedule testing accordingly
  • Failure mode analysis

 

 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some experience in mechanical testing or engineering test labs

 

WE VALUE

  • Associates Degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, electro-mechanical or related area preferred.
  • Individuals who are self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Able to convey technical ideas and concepts through team discussions, presentations and in writing.
  • Ability to create action plans, prioritize time and resources effectively.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical testing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of electrical components, debugging and analysis
