Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2024 Cyber Security Engineering and Technology Intern. In this role, you will learn a wide array of cyber security assessment methodologies that leverage technical knowledge and threat intelligence to assess an embedded system’s security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and develop exploits / appropriate mitigations. The successful candidate will have an interest in coding or creating tools for data analysis, metrics, penetration testing, ethical hacking, red teaming, or a related cyber security role. The experience and/or knowledge of how to perform vulnerability assessments / penetration tests of embedded systems. Provide formal documentation and reporting of discovered vulnerabilities to senior leaders. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree

Desired Skills:
- Experience with software analysis (e.g. static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, etc.) as applied to high-level programming languages (C, C++, Java)

- Experience with hardware analysis / reverse engineering as applied to avionics platforms

- Experience with embedded network protocol analysis / reverse engineering as applied to avionics platforms

- Experience with creating and presenting technical information to senior-level executives and customers

- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent communication skills (written and verbal communications) and have the ability to work in a dynamic work environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
