Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as an In-Country Weapons F-16 Field Service Engineer (FSE). This position is located in Jordan and will serve as the F-16 Weapons Field Service Engineer to support the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan. This position will provide on-site advice, liaison, and informal training in the installation, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems related to F-16 Weapons Systems.

This is an Unaccompanied assignment.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to the following:
• Provide on-site/on-equipment informal unit training to the component level on installation, maintenance and operating techniques relating to the F-16 Stores Management System (SMS), Weapons Sub-System components, Weapons System Support Equipment, adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of the prime equipment/system.
• Provide advice in the identification of and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment, aerospace ground equipment (AGE) and test equipment associated with and related to F-16 aircraft and Weapons systems.
• Devise local informal training programs and provide advice in identifying needed training programs. Emphasize safety precautions to be taken in all training provided.
• Provide consistent analysis of maintenance difficulties. Interpret various types of engineering drawings and specification data as found in company and government online data bases, legacy manuals and documentation.
• Use a variety of Air Force drawings, specifications, technical manuals and documentation to assist customers with various structural related anomalies and/or technical order correction/improvements - as required.
• Provide advice on the establishment of maintenance, inspection and training programs designed to improve the quality of maintenance, recommending changes as applicable.
• Provide liaison through which information related to maintenance and operational problems, available in the manufacturers plant, can be quickly disseminated to operations and maintenance personnel.
• Provide training on the use and interpretation of applicable technical orders. Provide advice as requested to assist in accident investigation and preparing failure data reports and unsatisfactory reports.
• This position requires excellent F-16 SMS/Weapons system knowledge and understanding, outstanding interpersonal skills, communication skills, technical writing skills, and a knowledge of customer protocol.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate customer requirements as needed.
• Selected candidate must pass an overseas physical. Must be a US citizen. Must have at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with F-16 Stores Management/Weapons System to include: Weapons Mux, Alternate Mission Equipment, Gun System, Line Replaceable Units, Stores Configuration, and Weapons Loading
• Familiar with US Air Force maintenance procedures at the organization and intermediate levels.
• Knowledge of Weapons system support equipment, use and function.
• Experience with F-16 SMS/Weapons System publications to include the ability to read and interpret aircraft technical orders, engineering drawings, and vendor manuals
• Experience with Technical writing and providing formal presentations.
• Experience with standard Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
• Bachelors degree with 3 years Weapons systems/subsystems experience or will accept 6 years Weapons systems/ subsystems experience without a degree
• Demonstrated F-16 SMS/Weapons System experience with all blocks of F-16 aircraft.
• Experience with coordinating F-16 SMS/Weapons System repair activity.
• Good Communication Skills, Oral and Written, Good Organization Skills
• Possess skill set to train others to include Foreign Military.
• Familiar with F-16 Avionics Modifications and Improvements, General Aircraft Mechanical (APG) System and Weapons System
• Familiar with Common Configuration Implementation
• Program (CCIP) modified F-16 aircraft
• Previous Falcon Enterprise Customer Service Experience
• Experience working with Foreign Government representatives.
