In January 2021, Collins Aerospace expanded a new Global Engineering Center (GEC) facility in Puerto Rico, with plans to hire more than 250 employees over the next 5 years at our Aguadilla site.

Join our growing engineering team in Puerto Rico, where you will provide critical support to Collins SBUs – including our Mission Systems and Power & Controls teams – working on exciting programs and projects ranging from the development of the next generation of advanced concept ejection seats to the latest technologies for the U.S. warfighter.

This is a seven-month co-op beginning January 2025 - August 2025 and the work will be completed at the Aguadilla site in Puerto Rico. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

What You Will Do

• You will work with FPGA and ASIC devices to meet system’s requirements.
• You will work on requirements capture, decomposition, and traceability.
• You will work on ASIC/FPGA digital design and/or verification.
• You will do RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or UVM/SystemVerilog as well as ASIC/FPGA verification using inspection, analysis, simulation, and test methods.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, preferred
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix OS environment.
• Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python and TCL.
• Experience writing RTL and/or testbenches using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience using FPGA simulation and vendor specific tools (e.g.  Questasim, Vivado, Libero, etc.).
• Familiar with best practice chip-level verification techniques and languages (e.g. UVM, constrained random, functional coverage, code coverage, LEC).
