PositionOverview:

  • As a Field Service Engineer II, you will be joining ourLifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) business. LSS focuses on providingcustomers with maintenance and modernization services.
  • The Field Service Engineer II will act as the primaryface of Honeywell for the customer and is responsible for design, development,programming, testing of Honeywell DCS-based Control Systems.
  • You will validate customer requests,developing/maintaining/improving customer relationships, upgrades/migrationplanning and execution, all while ensuring Right and Fast Delivery.

Location/Relocation:

  • Ther territory for this role is Centennial, CO (50-60 miles)
  • Relocation may be available depending on job and candidate location

Compensation

  • Our current Field Service Engineer IIs earn $100k+ which includes hourly pay + Overtime (1.5 x hourly rate)

Work& Travel Schedule:

  • Typical work week is M-F 8am-4pm with ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Be available for off hour "Emergency On-Call" as needed.
  • Depending on the service requirements for a particular customer or region, this position may require up to >50 local travel within 50-60 mile radius.
  • CompanyVehicle / Travel Expenses:
  • Company vehicle is provided - Must have valid drivers license.
  • Corporate Travel card will be offered to pay for expenses (No expenses come out of your pocket)

Ideal Candidate:

  • 4 + years experience with DCS control systems (Honeywell, Emerson, Yokagawa, ABB, Bailey, Siemens, and others while not required will be considered a plus)
  • Comfortable leading a team of engineers while overseeing project work and completion.
  • Ability to independently design, develop, in-house test, and commission a system at the client location.
  • Experience with Software configuration, migration, project engineering experience, virtualization, Cyber process control, electrical, or other application experience
  • Development of DCS Logic and Interface software applications compliant with customer/company specifications and/or applicable industry standards
  • Development / Execution of Test Procedures
  • Remote Support / Troubleshooting of system after installation

Your Focus:
This position will beresponsible for execute automation projects from design and implementation tocommissioning support at the customeru00B4s site.  You will perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, newinstallation, retrofit, commissioning, upgrades, and migration ofcomplex/advanced multiple generations of Honeywells DCS platforms to thecurrent generation Experion DCS family for both new and existing customers onsite. 

Controls

  • Configure/maintain Honeywell DCS based control systems
  • Honeywell Visualization (HMI) configuration
  • Other controllers, HMIs and general programming languages are a plus
  • Controller, I/O, communication module specification, configuration and wiring
  • Development of documentation (Functional Specification, Control Narrative, I/O List, Cause and Effect, Operations Manual, Testing Procedure)

Telecommunication

  • Knowledge of Network Architecture
  • Knowledge of multiple Control Communication Protocols - EthenetIP, Modbus, OPC/DA, OPC/UA, Profibus/net, CIP, DLR
  • Specification and configuration of plant specific instrumentation

Electrical

  • Control System Design (Block Diagram, Panel Layout and Wiring Diagrams, DC Load List, Hazardous Area, etc)

The salary range for this position in Colorado is: $100,000, which includes hourly pay + Overtime (1.5 x hourly rate)
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma
  • 4 years experience with control methodology in DCS, PLC, and HMI platforms
  • Strong electronics / instrumentation background
  • WE VALUE
  • Experion PKS Hardware & Software (Highly desired)
  • Associates or Bachelors in Engineering strongly preferred
  • 3rd Party controls experience
  • Remaining current in technology being developed in the field of automation and recommend new fit for purpose technologies
  • Project Management experience (budget control, schedules, resource allocation, reporting)
  • Detailed Process Control
  • Strong electronics background: ability to work with electronic test equipment
  • Strong understanding and experience with various programming languages
  • Takes initiative on projects and processes.
  • Actively partakes in peer team meetings as a lead to further strengthen engineer teams.
  • Served as technology expert and support to Sr./Project Manager
