This position is part of Parkers Electronic Motion & Controls Division (EMC) which provides technologies that create and control motion to customers across a wide range of applications and industries. Position Summary
This position supports product development and sustaining engineering activities. This involves test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of electronic products and prototypes. Technology to be worked on may include analog and/or digital circuits, and test systems.
Technicians work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and troubleshooting or fault isolation on systems and equipment.
Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators, thermal chambers and specialized test apparatus. Can be assigned to be a responsible agent for a segment of lab and/or lab tools,
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Proficiency with electronic lab test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, environmental test chambers, etc.
- Proficiency and skills in electronic assembly and modification such as soldering and working with surface mount technology components at Printed Circuit Board level.
- Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks related to modification and fabrication of electrical or mechanical, systems.
- Has knowledge of, and skills to perform, product validation testing that can include Environmental tests, Electrical Noise tests, Certification tests and Functional tests
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (WORD and EXCEL) to provide written product documentation that complies with department and corporate standards for creation, review, archival, and retention.
- Fulfills project objectives as defined by Project Manager, Lead Engineer, or Functional Manager.

Education Requirements:
- ASET, or equivalent knowledge.
- Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification
Experience Requirements:
Typically, 3+ years of related engineering products development lab experience. Less experience will be considered for candidates with recent degrees.
Preferred Skills:
- Python coding
- CAN interface monitoring
- Familiar with CE standards and test requirements
- Familiar with eMark standards and test requirements
Conditions of Employment
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
The Pay Range for this position is: $41,000 to $74,000.
