As a Lead Supplier Development Engineer here at Honeywell, you will hold a critical role responsible for driving the optimization and improvement of our organizations supplier base. You will play a pivotal part in enhancing supplier performance, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. As the Lead Professional, you will take the lead in supplier development efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical guidance to a dedicated team of supplier development engineers and professionals. You will report directly to our Sr Director Focused Supplier Development and you will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact our supplier development by bringing your extensive expertise and experience to our organization. You will play a critical role in driving supplier performance and ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards. Your contributions directly impact our organizations operational excellence and overall success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

        •   Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute a comprehensive supplier development strategy that aligns with the organizations goals, ensuring the enhancement of supplier performance and capabilities.

  • Track the suppliers performance indicators, based on their scorecards and rankings, to facilitate and develop the supply bases ability to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations.
  • Support the manufacturing of complex tooling, parts and sub-assemblies by providing technical expertise and support for suppliers.  Review tooling & manufacturing processes to ensure they will yield parts compliant to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Eliminate any risks that will prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets, and escalate as needed.
  • Provide technical expertise in supplier development, offer guidance on best practices, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the team to establish and enforce supplier performance standards, conduct regular assessments, and collaborate with suppliers to identify areas of improvement, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Drive innovation in supplier processes and product offerings, encouraging continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify and provide resources for supplier capability building, ensuring alignment with the organizations evolving needs and requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate supplier-related risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and compliance concerns, safeguarding the supply chain.

 

US CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS 

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

    •   6+ years of experience in supplier development, engineering, or a related leadership role

   •  Broad knowledge of castings technology processes, manufacturing methods, materials engineering, and manufacturing methods. 
    •   Technical expertise in supplier development processes and quality control.
    •   Strong leadership and team management skills.
    •   Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
    •   Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

This position is hybrid and can be based in any of our US locations.

Travel requirements: Up to 30 or as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

Non-Incentive Eligible

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
