Logistic Support Analysis Engineer (m/w/d)!
The Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) engineers work with a structured approach, identifying predictable data for preplanning of all aspects of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). The LSA proposes the most efficient maintenance solutions, maximizing helicopter availability while minimizing maintenance cost.
All aircraft support requirements, such as manpower, spare part selection and availability, ground support equipment, authorities compliance, and even customer specific conditions e.g. during flight missions, are reviewed, challenged, and centralized on a LSA database. In this database all technical data are connected with the aim to issue recommendations & enable improvement implementation in overall logistic processes and procedures.
The LSA remains the essential pillar for all logistic products and services which are submitted and formalized in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) disciplines such as TechData (issuing Instructions for continued airworthiness) or Training.
The job holder will have a specific role on new Helicopter programs/versions, and in the development of this discipline and its digitalization.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

In close relationship with the Design Office department (Chief Engineering, System Design Responsible, Maintainability teams, safety teams) the job holder will:
Define and coordinate with Design office at the early phase of development a collaborative work to both understand the planned design (or update), the impact on the S&S Performance and positively influence the design accordingly
Provide maintenance requirements, using return of experience & engineering expertise, and challenge design against customer expectations
Develop cost efficient maintenance programmes in accordance with regulations to ensure type certification
Ensure regular revision of the maintenance programme, considering the in-service experience and contribute to Direct Maintenance Costs reductions
Perform the LSA Analysis, especially LORA (Level of Repair Analysis) and MTA (Maintenance Task Analysis)
Define technical criteria for Maintenance Tasks and propose optimized procedure guidelines
Define and propose an optimized spare list based on a tradeoff of technical, economical and retex criteria.
Define and propose solution and bridge between LSA and Illustrated Catalog definition to ensure a lean process of ICA delivery
Ensure end-to-end traceability from source document to ICA delivery to ensure certification targets and requirements
Secure that the different needed information is well shared and align with the different ILS stakeholders (including ILS Team, TechData Team, Training & Simulation and IPL Team)
Participate to the evolution and transformation of the LSA Role, through implementation of new methods (e.g. 3000L), digitalization programs (DDMS) and 3D means.
This activity will allow the job holder to develop strong skills in all systems installed on the aircraft (such as hydraulic, avionics, power plant, auto pilot…) and different disciplines of the maintenance connected to the customer needs.
Desired skills and qualifications:
Experience in Logistic Support Analysis and application of associated standards (MIL STD 1388-2B / S3000L) and analyses (LORA, MTI, MTA, …)
Engineering and technical background
University degree in technical domain related to maintainability of mechanical or electrical systems (or similar education background such as &34;Techniker&34; paired with experience)
Knowledge of other norms (1000D, 2000M) and of the Aircraft Manual
General knowledge of helicopters and associated systems preferred
Fluent in English; knowledge of French and German would be a plus
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
