Position Overview:

The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Air Vehicle ME team at the Thompson Site in the Tukwila, WA area.  This position will be our Program Focal for all Production Engineering Activities in support of the Air Vehicle Manufacturing Package including Installations/Test/Delivery Support as required. On the E-7 we are highly focused on creating a fully integrated ME team that mirrors the successful Culture that we have on our P-8 Program for Production Engineering.  We hope you apply and choose to join in our collective success, in this environment everyone goes out of their way to help each other, and we are all focused on doing what is right and best for the airplane to keep production moving in the right direction.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Manufacturing Engineers.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather and define system-level requirements for Parts, Plans, and Tools.

  • Support design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/ system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

  • Support troubleshooting of delivered product operational / service anomalies and incidents.

  • Participate in new business development efforts.

  • Lead Design Build Plan for the Program

  • Work under general supervision.

 

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

 

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering or a production environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

  • Previous engineering experience supporting defense programs.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Associate - Level 2): $80,750 - $109,250. Summary pay range (Mid-Level - Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
