As a Materials Planning Manager, you will plan and manage an efficient and responsive spares support methodology and processes to support EK aircraft. Ensure timely initial provisioning and re-provisioning through efficient inventory management and control mechanism to provide cost efficient, responsive and robust support system to achieve desired service levels with optimum stock levels. To set up an efficient support system to meet all operational and AOG requirements at main base and EK outstations. Lead the introduction of advanced technologies through collaborations with subject matter expert teams to implement innovative solutions within the Materials Management Repairs Department to enhance accuracy in planning, parts forecasting, and business data analytics and reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Develop timely initial provisioning plan for aircraft and power plant components, by analysing manufacturer recommendation and establishing requirements / timelines to be able to effectively support fleet EIS.
- Coordinate with FTM, Maintenance, Procurement, Contracts and other stake holders to develop a comprehensive material support strategy to support EIS.
- Ensure periodic surplus inventory review to maintain optimum inventory levels to identify surplus stock because of reduction in requirement due to phase out, modifications and/or obsolescence.
- Establish material planning procedures and methods applicable to different types and categories of aircraft parts to maintain cost efficiency whilst achieving optimum level of spares and materials.
- Develop human resource quality through effective leadership and guidance to develop an efficient and conducive working environment and providing them all necessary tools and resources to achieve organisational objectives and individual growth.
Business Reporting & Analysis
- Develop & Implement effective Business Reporting mechanism to update management on Key Performance Indicators, Vendor Performance scorecard and provide data analysis of inventory service levels and repair & purchase costs, such key performance objectives will support department goals and objectives.
- Manage Business Analytics to produce, analyse, format and present statistical data in a way that can be easily understood and applied by others, including various benchmarks against industry standards.
- Manage the Vendor Approval Review process in the system to ensure efficient processing and preventing any delays.
- Introduce technology, automation, Business Intelligence capabilities across, and innovative solutions into the business and systems testing and training within the Materials Management Department.
- Support with the preparation and Acceptance Testing for systems within the various functional areas to ensure new releases are tested prior to implementation.
- Provide data and input to enable a collaborative approach with the Business Projects. Manage the delivery of complex projects, highlight potential project risks which could impact the delivery within agreed timeframes, cost and quality.
