Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2024 Materials and Process Engineer (Technology Team) Intern. In this role, you will assist and support engineers within the M&P organization. Supporting tasks may include the analysis, research, testing to develop materials and their related fabrication and application processes to optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems. Develop, analyze and apply material properties and design allowables, processing processes and quality engineering specifications. Material analyses may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications. Operations support for Blades as well as the Dynamic components Product Centers may also be provided. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of CAD, Solid Works, CATIA and 3 Dx.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a technical 4 year degree in engineering or science related field
- Familiarity with Chemistry, Physics and/or Material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes.
- Experience using MS Word and Excel
- Works well in a collaborative team environment with good communication skills.

- Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings
- Experience with CAD, Solid Works, CATIA and 3 Dx

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
