Boeing Brazil is seeking a Mid-Career Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) Engineer, reporting to the Airplane Systems Integration organization, working out of the São José dos Campos office. This position provides an opportunity to work across multiple systems and programs to support Airborne Electronic Hardware development.  

The Mid-Career Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) Engineer will motivate TP develop and foster relationships with stakeholders (internal/external) and provide mentorship within the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, determines and develops approaches to develop, verify, document, and approve Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) in electronic and electrical systems and equipment.

  • Contribute to analysis and translation of system requirements to hardware requirements and detailed design data to create AEH.

  • Contribute to review of hardware requirements validation and verification work in complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.  

  • Works with others to approve equipment verification strategies and system hardware testing to meet airplane certification requirements.

  • Conducts independent reviews of equipment developer processes and data, and reports results to program leadership.

  • Provides critical support for changes to AEH in fielded equipment over the entire product lifecycle.

This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have the existing rights to work in Brazil.

  • Must have a degree in Engineering

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA).

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English language.

  • Experience in electronic hardware, FPGA or ASIC design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in development of Airborne Electronic Hardware (ASIC or FPGA technologies) per RTCA DO-254.

  • Experience with design and development of embedded systems.

  • Experience with Verilog and VDHL.

  • Experience with designing and manufacturing semiconductor chips.

  • Experience in Development Assurance activities.

  • Experience with hardware requirements development and verification.

  • Experience with audits or design review activities.

  • Experience with showing of compliance or finding of compliance activities.

  • Experience with airplane certification.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
