Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Experienced Configuration Management Engineer in support of our Government Training Engineering Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers Portfolio in Hazelwood, Missouri.
As part of our team, you will be focused on configuration management ensuring engineering changes are documented and managed throughout the development life cycle. Configuration management involves using tools and processes for establishing consistency of a product’s attributes throughout its life. You will be a part of an organization that provides industry leadership in in defense aviation training and capabilities, including custom software development, engineering and technical services, and a range of services to support training centers and pilot provisioning worldwide.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop the implementation of Configuration Management for Customer Deliverables.
- Support the definition and allocation of Configuration Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- Track and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, configuration and contractual requirements.
- Support development of media, Software product end items, and other baseline deliverables to the Customer.
- Act as liaison between Software Configuration Control Board and other functions as needed
- Assist with plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
- Support the monitoring of adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; assists with audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements
- Support certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes
- Act as a custodian for classified material
- Occasional Travel required: 25.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options Hazelwood, MO. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- 5+ years of experience performing Configuration Management.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience working with PC Hardware.
- Experience in software development, documentation creation/release and project management.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with software configuration management tools such as ClearCase/ClearQuest or Version One.
- Experience with Git and Git-Flow methodology.
- Experience working within Scaled Agile Framework.
- 3+ years of experience with training devices (i.e. any type of flight, mission or maintenance training devices).
- 3+ years of experience managing technical projects in engineering, technology, or construction.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
