Position Overview:

Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mission Systems Computing Hardware Led to develop leading edge solutions to directly support the warfighter. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Boeing OKC supports the following platforms: Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) for US, Saudi and NATO, Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEWC) for Australia, Turkey, United Kingdom and Korea, B-1 Strike Bomber, B-2 Stealth Bomber, B-52 Heavy Bomber, and the ALCM weapon.  These platforms continue to be updated to keep them relevant and supportive of emerging military systems.  Upgrades include state-of-the-art radar systems, hypersonic weapons systems, and cutting-edge digital communication infrastructure. Candidates selected for this position may work in the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) and Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Group supporting various international airborne command and control platforms. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Servant leader working with engineers to work through issues and integrate the testing of the Mission system.

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees.

  • Provides technical management of suppliers.

  • Works with the office of airworthiness to certify electrical products.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets group goals.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry

  • Experience working with FAA and EASA airworthiness certification.

  • Experience working with suppliers and supply chain management.

  • Cost Account Manager experience

  • Proposal development experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Shift:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $111,350 - $150,650. Summary pay range (Lead - Level 5): $133,450 - $180,550.
