Description:The Reentry Systems Engineering Manager will lead a team of systems engineers and be responsible for technical management, planning (Cost/Schedule), risk management, resource deployment/alignment, and staffing for the dedicated Reentry W93/Mk7 Systems Engineering group within the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry Systems Engineering organization.

As the Reentry Mk7 Systems Engineering Manager, you will:

• Manage the W93/Mk7 Systems Engineering organization under the direction of the Mk7 Program Manager and W93/Mk7 Chief Systems Engineer

• Have supplementary responsibilities for Reentry Systems Engineering Integration & Services, Reentry Independent Review Boards, Reentry Requirements / Verification, Risk and Opportunity management, and Reentry Interfaces

• Report to the Senior Manager for Reentry Systems Engineering & Design

The organization is distributed between Denver CO and Valley Forge, PA. Travel between sites may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering or related field

• Experience interfacing with Program leadership, customer counterparts and/or contractors

• Supporting or leading systems engineering design reviews (eg SRR, PDR, CDR)

• Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience

• Demonstrated experience in developing high performance team and leading culture change in the organization

• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across business units and with external customers/counterparts

• Must demonstrate the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives- Able to motivate a team while embracing diversity and inspiring cultural change
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of the FBM program and Trident II (D5) Reentry System

• Familiar with the Navy SSP Reentry customer

• 10+ years total experience, including 2 years demonstrated engineering leadership experience, 5 years of experience in the application of System Engineering processes and disciplines

• Supporting or leading technical investigations

• Technical system requirements (i.e. Interface control documents, requirements databases, or functional/physical requirements)

• Requirements creation, management, bi-directional traceability, and verification planning & execution

• Ability to plan strategically and translate these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical actions and tasks.

• Electronics, software, and/or mechanical design experience

• Demonstrated experience leading a large problem investigation and root cause analysis effort

• Ability to motivate and successfully energize a team

• Generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support

• Cost Account Management (CAM) certification

• Proven track record of effective customer coordination and collaboration

• Demonstrated experience utilizing IBM rational tools (DOORS)

• Demonstrated experience with MBSE tools and process (Cameo, SysML)

• Familiarity with Weapon Specs

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
