The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineering Manager to join the Boeing Guidance Repair Center (BGRC) located in Heath, OH.  Engineering positions at the Boeing Guidance Repair Center offer rewarding, challenging work at a Global Industrial Aerospace company within close proximity to Columbus, OH - a vibrant city that continues to reinvent and revitalize itself.

The work at BGRC is exciting, hands on and includes the “right-mix” of sustainment, production and development. BGRC provides unique engineering problem solving and challenging work while also recognizing the importance of maintaining a work and home life balance. This opportunity will support the leadership and oversight of the test sites Test Equipment engineering efforts with focus on the ICBM legacy Test Equipment Overhaul and Sustainment efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages a diversified engineering team responsible for execution across multiple government contracts at the Boeing Heath facility. Disciplines include electrical, electronic, mechanical and process engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Strong project management, written and verbal communication, organizational and planning skills are required for this position.
  • Prior defense contracting, depot support, Product technical engineering support, equipment maintenance and modification experience are highly desired.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • Experience in performance of calibration and troubleshooting, and repair of Measurement and Test Equipment including Automated Test Equipment (ATE) stations.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated and semi-automated test equipment.
  • Experience leading or managing a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior defense contracting, depot support, product technical engineering support, equipment maintenance and/or modification experience highly desired.
  • Experience with Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (test plans, test procedures and test equipment)
