Honeywell is seeking Principal Controls Engineer for our Golden Valley, MN location. We will also consider applications in Broomfield, Colorado, and Albuquerque, NM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Applying knowledge of industrial control software, hardware, process, and systems product life cycle development.
  • Leading the development of industrial control solutions that interact with standard and industrial sensors and other electromechanical systems.
  • Using PLC development environments for solutions that span multiple control domains using IEC 61131-3 programming languages (ST, LD, FB, SFC).
  • Building and connecting Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in collaboration with IT staff.
  • Managing design artifacts with configuration management and collaborating with internal and external customers.
  • Leading and mentoring junior engineers on the team building and maintaining industrial equipment control systems.

 

The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado is $160,000-180,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • US Citizenship to obtain or maintain a security clearance
  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 12 years of Process, Controls, Software, or Systems Engineering background.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelors degree in computer or electrical engineering or other STEM related field
  • Masters degree or PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering field.
  • Experience with Honeywell ControlEdge PLC and Honeywell Experion HS
  • Knowledge of the industrial systems engineering development and solution lifecycle.
  • Strong troubleshooting skillset, capable of debugging complex systems and problems in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency with multiple industrial controls standards and technologies
  • Experience with Hardware & Software productization including validated hardware and software releases/revisions.
  • Demonstrated experience with cryogenic processing equipment; including pumps, valves, sensors, and other instrumentation operating in low temperature regimes.
