Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in
Orlando, FL and Dallas, TX is seeking a interns
for Summer 2024.
In this role, you will:
• Support Risk and Opportunity Management
• Support capacity validation of supplier tooling to new rates
• Support evaluation and approach for expansion of supplier capacity to additional rates in the future
• Support Statement of Requirements for suppliers
• Support technical interchange
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited pursuing a
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field.
Desired Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication
skills
Demonstrated critical thinking / problem
solving abilities
Able to multi-task several critical assignments
at both time and ability to work both independently
and within a team structure
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
(Power Point, Word, Excel)
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
The candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Green Belt/Lean Six Sigma Experience
- Understanding of capacity & production flow
- Risk Management Experience
- Understanding of Manufacturing Processes
- Be empowered to work independently to pursue resolving problems
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate with various functional groups
- Quick leaner who enjoys working challenging tasks
- Ability to interact with senior management, suppliers, and other external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
