The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) division is seeking a Quality Engineer - Data Analysis (Associate or Experienced) to join our Program Quality team located in Mesa, AZ.
 

The Quality Project Engineer works with cross functional teams, builds and program processes, and collaborates with stakeholders and management.
 

The activities will include, but not limited to Collective Analysis, Defect Mapping, Value Stream Team Support, Root Cause Corrective Action, Process Monitoring. This position will require strong knowledge and use of data analysis.
 

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate or Experienced-level Quality Professional.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements corrective actions. Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Has the ability to work well under general supervision.
  • Strong comprehension and conceptual knowledge in organizational leadership skills to oversee and execute projects, on- time and within budget.
  • Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to include Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,
  • Possesses strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and achieve project goals.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Boeing Mesa site.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical discipline
  • 1+ year of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
  • Experience working with Python and/or R
  • 1+ year of experience working with SQL
  • 1+ year of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts
  • 1+ year of experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions
  • Experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience in a technical discipline such as engineering, math, or technology

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ year of experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • 1+ year of experience working in a Quality Engineering job role
  • 1+ year of experience in Advance Product Quality Planning activities (APQP)
  • Experience developing root cause corrective actions
  • Experience in design, systems or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience with cultural transformations

Level 2

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, althoug

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for associate level: 73,100 – 98,900

Summary pay range for mid-level: 88,400 – 119,600
