Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career RF Engineer. Responsibilities as an RF Engineer include research, design, and development of RF test equipment in applications operating at UHF-, Ka-, L-, S-, X-Band and other frequencies. The selected candidate will work and collaborate with other Senior Engineers, Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs), and Test Engineers across various programs to achieve desired Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) design and function. The RF engineer will conduct trade studies, perform multi-faceted analyses, interface with vendors, test EGSE, power, analog circuitry, and will work inclusively with engineers of other disciplines (Mechanical, Systems, etc.). The selected candidate will support failure analysis, Material Review Board processing, discrepancy documentation, resolution, and troubleshooting. In this role you will support more senior engineers who provide technical and programmatic support to various RF products and calibrations. This job is very hands-on with a variety of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNA’s and power meters. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

• Ability to perform or learn RF circuit analysis.

• Ability to perform or learn Integration & Test of RF components, payloads, and/or subsystems.

• Experience testing and troubleshooting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers.

• Ability to obtain security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with phases of product lifecycle (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR).

• Using tools such as Agilent ADS (Advanced Design System), Ansys HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator), AWR Microwave Office, or similar tool packages.

• Certification and training as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Engineer, or equivalent

• RF and/or digital payload test measurement techniques

• Architecture, integration, and test of Electronically Steerable Arrays (ESA), Radar Systems, RF and/or digital payloads, Telemetry Tracking & Command (TT&C), or missile communications subsystems.

• Development of Analog/Digital interfaces

• Designing active components, such as Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) , hybrids, Linearized Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (LTWTAs), Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), Oscillators, frequency converters, etc.

• Experience in managing research or design projects

• EGSE Design experience

• Automation Framework experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $62,900 - $120,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
