The successful applicant will become part of an innovative and exciting project to establish Electronic Warfare training ranges in Australia to support the ADF and will:

• Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of the safe and secure delivery of MTTES components, modules and subsystems.
• Develop system change proposals using the change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.
• Support operational MTTES systems regarding production and support of maintenance procedures, supporting system troubleshooting, requiring liaison with Operations & Maintenance staff.
• Work with a variety of RF communications aspects including antenna co-site analysis, RF coverage analysis and radiation hazard analysis.

The person:

• A tertiary qualification (4 year engineering degree) and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience in RF communications design within a process driven engineering environment.
• Prior experience with ICT-networked RF communication systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel to regional and remote locations to perform small team/independent work.
• Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design practices.
• Eligibility for a security clearance at a level of Negative Vetting Level 1 with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
