Rotor System Design MRB Engineer - ROC

Bell is seeking a self-motivated Rotor System Design Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer to join Bell’s Repair and Overhaul Center (ROC). The MRB engineer will apply repair dispositions to parts returning from fleet per contract guidelines. This position will adhere to the MRB policies, best practices, Customer Specifications, ROC procedures, and contract requirements. This position is based at Bell Ft. Worth, TX.

What you’ll be doing as a Rotor System Design MRB Engineer

  • The candidate will become a Bell Rotors MRB member and be certified to disposition nonconformances for customer owned parts.
  • Develop timely and cost-effective engineering dispositions for rotors components and assemblies that do not meet design requirements using the approved MRB process.
  • Facilitate communication between Rotors engineering and military customer.
  • Assure compliance to customer approved requirements, military standards and Bell policies and procedures.
  • Support shop floor personnel and address repair execution issues, design definition, and repair process optimization.

Job Requirements:

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience related to structural repairs on composite dynamic components preferred.
  • Experience using CAMS/Visiprise, SAP or similar planning systems
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment, focused on composite manufacturing or repair preferred.
  • Familiarity with aerospace structural composite design / manufacturing practices
  • Familiarity with MRB process preferred
  • Proficiency with engineering drawing interpretation including GD&T

What you need to be successful

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.

Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred

Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.

Related technical degrees with relevant experience will be considered.

5 years of aircraft design or Aerospace Material Review Board experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

5 years Aerospace experience in aircraft structural design or repair; Aerospace Material Review Board (MRB) experience preferred
