What does this role look like?
The candidate selected for the SPY Transmitter
Field Technician Specialist will be responsible for ensuring
AN/SPY Radar Transmitter is operable and
available. SPY Transmitter Technician will
coordinate with the AN/SPY Radar Systems
Engineer for transmitter matters and assists in
identifying, isolating and repairing transmitter
equipment problems aboard AEGIS Destroyers
as a Team member on the Aegis Test Team (ATT) – Bath, Maine.
US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Field experience/education in electronic repair
• Prior military experience as an FCA in SPY -1 Radar
• Candidate should possess strong personal
computing skills to include experience with MS
Office applications
• Candidate selected will be subject to a
government security investigation and must
meet eligibility requirements for access to
classified information and maintain a security
clearance
• This position requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and underway. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs.
* This position requires the qualified candidate to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. US Citizenship is required.

• Bachelors degree or equivalent from accredited college
• Ship equipment alteration experience.
• Installation of shipboard high voltage cabling and subsequent testing.
• Ability to perform MRC maintenance items with associated equipment without supervision.
• Ability to assist and teach US Navy personnel with equipment diagnostics, maintenance items, and equipment operations, both at the RSC console and in Radar Rooms.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
