Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineering Manager (Level L) to join our Engineering & Technology team. You will lead engineering service delivery in support of our 24x7 production and business partner needs, in addition to leading critical initiatives for our technology roadmap and other improvements for our work functions.

Our Facilities Engineering & Technology teams are true owners of our assets throughout the enterprise, and passionate about enabling stability, predictability, and sustainability for our business units and Boeing as a whole. As one of our Senior Leaders, you will play a pivotal role in further developing our team culture and future leaders of the company.
 

You will lead teams located in the Auburn, Fredrickson, West Corridor, and other Washington area sites. This position & your work location will be located in Tukwila or Auburn, Washington.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Leads employees and first-level managers performing activities related to infrastructure planning, design, analysis, improvement of construction projects and maintenance operations

  • Influences the technology strategy and roadmap for the enterprise within GREF

  • Develops and implements integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and employees

  • Provides guidance and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Participates in equipment make/buy decisions

  • Participates in source selection; provides technical guidance and integrates supplier activities

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and managers

This role will involve up to 10 domestic travel.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience managing technical and/or engineering teams

  • 5+ years of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees

  • 5+ years of experience coordinating across engineering disciplines

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Degree in Engineering or a technical/STEM discipline

  • 10+ years of experience executing strategies that drive employee engagement and inclusion

  • 10+ years of experience with technical project management

  • 10+ years of experience working in/supporting a manufacturing environment

  • 10+ years of experience in facilities and/or construction management

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business consideration.

Summary pay range: $143,650 - $194,350.
