Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Quality Engineerto join our team based in Columbus, Mississippi.
This position leads the local Internal Audit program and acts as a QA interface for 3rd Party Audits. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the Quality program. Lead the site specific Internal Audit and Continuous Improvement Program. Administer the on-going development of AHI Quality Management System. Investigate specific quality issues arising from system failures or design deficiencies and foster the continuous improvement process.

Your working environment: On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.
Your challenges: Define and improve the quality processes within the AHI Organization, facilitate PDCA/PPS projects as required.
Ensures the implementation of Quality Requirements in regard to engineering tasks (e.g. (MRB), drawing review, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) Process with suppliers).
Quality liaison for Customer and Technical Support.
Lead AHI site specific internal audit program and define internal audit plan based on regulatory, contractual and statutory requirements
Ensure completion of internal audit program to fulfil regulatory requirements
Your boarding pass: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience with a minimum of three (3) of those years as a Quality Engineer.
In lieu of degree, 12 years in a Quality Assurance capacity (Engineering/Analyst/Inspection), with three (3) of those as a Quality Engineer
