To Design & Support IT solutions for the EK Group. Working as part of a design & Support team, the Senior Technical Engineer will design, develop, support, and deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for both Business and IT-led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, configuration and deployment, Business Case Development & Approval. To support, contribute, and ensure solution compliance to the enterprise architecture, production processes, QMS, and other EG-IT standards. To support, contribute, and ensure the development of the roadmap of the concerned technology roadmap aligning with IT strategy.


Job Outline:



  • Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance to EG-IT dealing within the technology area and act as lead technical member in the Project team delivering the work packages assigned.

  • Develop IT Solutions that meet customer requirements. Ensure that the design is robust, appropriate, and of high quality conforming to corporate standards and in line with the technical strategy.

  • Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability.   • Foster the development of high-performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.

  • Develop Solution architectures for assigned projects with established EA standards and also support the development of technology advancements and adaptation of new technologies.

  • Collaborate with other IT Technology Teams to implement ongoing monitoring of the relevant technology to ensure severity 1 & 2 Incidents are configured within EMS.

  • Provide guidance to Project managers / Technology Team Managers for solution definition, technical design, and development of in-house developed solutions. These are to be delivered as per agreed costs and timescales to meet signed-off functional, technical, and process requirements.

  • Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within the agreed Service Levels and problems are defined and analyzed in line with the Problem Management Process. Ensure that solutions to problems meet the architectural and security standards within the technology area and impact to the business is minimized. Own & manage changes within the Technology Area.

  • Publish and maintain high-quality documentation for the technology area. Working within the standard templates and documentation guidelines which includes detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals, and deployment architecture.

  • Manage `End of Life? replacement of equipment and/or software within the technology area to ensure conformance to technical standards and support the Technology initiatives and directions.

  • Ensure the process and Enhancement specifications are translated into effective programs with error-free code using the enterprise development tools, methods, and languages.

Job Requirements:

Experience: 



  • Minimum 8 years experience in Integration Platforms design, implementation, and administration.

  • Minimum 5 years of Integration products experience covering technologies such as Informatica, Snaplogic, or similar industry-leading platforms.

  • Expertise in Microservices, Event-driven solutions, API Gateway products like APIGEE, Integration solutions in the cloud, and data streaming platforms like Kafka & Solace will be added advantages.

  • Should be able to cater to Infra as a Code requirement with popular tools/languages like Ansible, Terraform, etc. Able to work with repositories like GIT and BitBucket.

  • Must be aware of popular public clouds. MS Azure, AWS - about the products and features in each offering.

  • Must have the basic skills to use Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, Prometheus, and Grafana for dashboards.

  • Should have a general awareness of Networks, ServiceNow, servers, service mesh, operators for containers, mTLS, SSO, SAML, and NoSQL DBs.

  • Hands-on experience in administering Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Bi, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents and Dataverse) 

  • Hands-on development experience on the Power platform 

  • Familiarity with integration of Power Apps Common Data Services and other sources and knowledge of data design and migration practices 

  • Strong foundational knowledge of Office 365 platform including Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AD, and Azure logic apps, security, and DLP 

  • Proficient in creating PowerShell scripts, experience in data connections, gateways 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technologies, and technical and business concepts to multiple audiences Observability.



Skills: 



  • Deep understanding of Metrics, Logs, and Traces and their influence over application health and performance 

  • Ability to design and orchestrate complex Observability requirements spanned across on-prem, AWS, and Azure using cloud-native services and specialized Observability tools like Splunk & AppDynamics 

  • Hands-on experience with Observability & Enterprise Service health and performance Monitoring with Splunk IT Service Intelligence & AppDynamics 

  • Exceptional knowledge in systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics (using AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK, Grafana, etc.) 

  • Ability to tell a story with business and application performance data using query tools like Splunk SPLs, PL/SQL, etc. and data visualization frameworks by creating insightful dashboards 

  • Experience in implementing Service Operations tooling, particularly in the domain of service monitoring and process automation 

  • Deep scripting skills in Shell (Bash), Python, Go (Golang) 

  • Deep understanding of container management solutions Kubernetes / Docker / Openshift / EKS / AKS 

  • Essential Public cloud services: AWS Lambda, Cloudwatch, Kinesis, Azure Monitor 

  • Experience with infrastructure configuration and automation, processes, and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GIT, and Jenkins.
