Job Summary: The Software Developer assists in the creation and maintenance of software by working across departments to understand end user needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test software to meet consumers and clients needs.
  • Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Testing and deploying programs and applications
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
  • Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
  • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
  • Developing quality assurance procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree
  • At least 2-4 years of experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skill
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in popular coding languages including C, Python, JavaScript, Java
  • Database application: SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL
  • Client-side technology: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Web API
  • Experience with GitHub or Microsoft Team Foundation Services
  • Knowledge of cloud computing: AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu / Linux OS

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
  • May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
