Job Summary: The Software Developer assists in the creation and maintenance of software by working across departments to understand end user needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and test software to meet consumers and clients needs.
- Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
- Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Testing and deploying programs and applications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
- Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Developing quality assurance procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree
- At least 2-4 years of experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skill
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency in popular coding languages including C, Python, JavaScript, Java
- Database application: SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL
- Client-side technology: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Web API
- Experience with GitHub or Microsoft Team Foundation Services
- Knowledge of cloud computing: AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of Ubuntu / Linux OS
Physical Requirements:
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.
- Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
- May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
