Software Developer job in Huntsville, Alabama is available with Moseley Technical Services top Defense & Space company. In this full time, direct hire, salaried position you will support the Modeling & Simulation Contract - Framework in the development of programs using C++, Java or similar programs
Responsibilities
- Develop programs using C++, Java, or similar languages
- Create and run unit tests
- Develop software documentation
- Create and manage automated software builds and pipelines in a CI/CD environment
- Collaborate with stakeholders and government customers
- Work within an Agile team environment (Program Increment Planning, Iteration Planning, Feature and Story development, Sprint Planning, and Iteration Retrospectives)
- Participate in team and program Sprint review demos
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related discipline with 5 years of professional experience, OR Masters degree in a related discipline with 3 years of professional experience, OR PhD or JD in a related discipline (no experience required)
- Proficiency in C++
- Experience with GitLab/Git for software configuration management
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
- Network programming skills (message generation, formatting, UDP and TCP/IP interfaces)
- Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework
- Agile Scrum experience
- Java and user interface development experience
- Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking and agile project management tools
- Multi-core and multi-threaded programming skills
- Familiarity with MDA Sensors and missile defense systems
