Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will plan conduct and coordinate software development activities. Additionally you will Design, develop, document, test and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language by means of data processing equipment The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge to make use of computer hardware and software, to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met: Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering program, from an accredited college/university.
-Coursework/experience in software programming analysis and design.
-Knowledge of C++ software and Object Orient Design disciplines
-Ability to support interpret and implement specific requirements and coordinate design evolutionary processes.
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Software Engineering processes (at CMMI 3 level or higher) across the entire software development life-cycle.
-Attention to detail, conversant with MS office tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience developing complex systems software using open source collaborative computer operating systems in a team environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
