Honeywell Connected Industrial is looking for a Sr APC Engineer to support our Advanced Solutions business. The location is Markham, ON, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Sr Engineer will be involved in phases of the project scope from conception through to post acceptance support and maintenance.
  • Experience being a technical consultant for upper management, demonstrating the business impact Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions provide.
  • Leads scheduling, planning, and cost during the execution of an Advanced Process Control (APC) project.
  • Develops/enhances best practices to implement Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions.
  • Seen as an SME in APC.
  • Proven record of coordinating less experienced engineers to successfully implement Advanced Process Control (APC) projects.
  • Proven record of designing Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions using Honeywells Profit Suite software in process units in the refining, chemicals, petrochemicals, pulping and MMM verticals.
  • Proven record of leading and supporting Advanced Process Control (APC) implementations using Honeywells Profit Suite software.
  • Deep refining, gas processing, and petrochemical process knowledge.
  • Perform benefit studies highlighting the value of complex optimization solutions.
  • Design and implement advanced regulatory control strategies.
  • Perform dynamic model identification and control application testing and acceptance.
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to other engineers, specialists, and customers within a support role for Advanced Process Control (APC) and Optimization applications.
  • Responsible for providing support to Honeywell Advanced Process Control (APC) installed base.
  • Provide sales support, participate in proposal development, and provide customer training.

 

You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience implementing Advanced Process Control (APC) including design and development of functional designs, detailed designs, step testing, dynamic model identification, simulation, testing, commissioning, training, support, and maintenance within different Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical processes.
  • Familiar with at least one DCS system including but not limited to: Honeywell Experion, Honeywell TPS, Foxboro IA, Emerson DeltaV, among others.
  • 30 travel is expected
  • Valid G Drivers License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell.
