Responsibilities

This role will oversee the continued optimization of network services for (LAN/WAN, IP voice, routers, switches, wireless, ISPs, firewalls, and security). The Sr. Manager will also lead solutioning, design and upgrades of IP based telephony infrastructure for contact centers and diverse facility footprints while ensuring security and compliance with PCI & SOX standards in a highly regulated and mission critical environment.

 

  • Manage and improve the comprehensive network infrastructure for a large complex organization.
  • Lead engineering and design processes across all IP communication technologies.
  • Improve network services through the identification and development of processes, techniques, and technology to minimize system outages.
  • Manage and mentor engineering teams to ensure appropriate execution of network architecture practices, daily service requests, incident response and IT projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the network team.
  • Actively monitor and track project activities, maintain project plans, and provide timely updates to higher management.
  • Assist Sr. Director of IT Operations in controlling cost, strategic planning, and personnel development.
  • Provide technical leadership in resolving service requests, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, server and administration services, backup and archiving, consulting, training and project planning and deployment.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, products, tools and protocols to support evolution of network infrastructure and support systems.
  • Able to support a 24/7/365 fast paced and rapidly evolving environment.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Network Architecture and Network Management methodologies with emphasis on Cisco SD/WAN configuration and management
  • Experience with Technology Security and Audits including PCI, SOX and federal standards
  • Experience deploying and supporting IP based telephony infrastructure
  • Proven track record of building and leading high performing network engineering teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment on large or complex projects required
  • 10+ years of experience managing Network Engineering teams.
