Join our team at the Sr. Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Equipment Integration at the Richardson Semiconductor & Sensor Fabrication Plant and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of factory systems at the forefront of the Internet of Things (IoT) Revolution. As a key contributor, you will drive the development of a new generation of manufacturing systems, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and overall process clarity. Collaborating closely with manufacturing, QA, and process engineers, youll lead projects for functional enhancements and system upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with peripheral systems. Your technical leadership will be instrumental in supporting the deployment of our new manufacturing execution system (MES), while adhering to IT/OT security protocols and cyber security measures. Execute development projects with precision, providing equipment integration and automation expertise, and deliver operational support for deployed shop floor systems and interfaces. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Identify and implement system or process improvements that resolve recurring issues, yield operational efficiencies, improve data quality, or clarify / simplify operations.
•Closely collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and process engineers to ensure that manufacturing systems effectively support current and emerging needs.
•Initiate and lead projects related to functional enhancements, system upgrades, or changes needed to accommodate updates to peripheral systems, data interfaces, or process updates.
•Work with IT counterparts, software solution, and equipment vendors directly as needed to resolve more complex issues.
•Comply with IT / OT Security and Control, Cyber Security, and Tech Debt remediation requirements.
•Support deployment of our new manufacturing execution system (MES), and related factory systems, providing configuration and integration with the equipment layer.
•Provide equipment integration & automation technical leadership and execute all development projects in accordance with prescribed objectives, procedures, and budget/schedule constraints.
•Provide operational support for deployed environments of shop floor systems and interfaces. 
•Up to 10 travel as needed.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE:
•Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
•5+ years of manufacturing process expertise and experience supporting and maintaining equipment interfaces between MES and direct factory equipment or equipment controllers (i.e. Station or Cell Control), for manual or automated operations
•5+ years of hands-on experience delivering projects within manufacturing environments.
•5+ years experience working with Auto ID (RFID / Bar Code), PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Motion Control, and other automation technologies.

 WE VALUE:
•Experience working in or supporting Semiconductor Front End, Back End or SMT manufacturing.
•5+ years of development experience working with MES platforms within Semiconductor Mfg.
•5+ years of hands-on MES to Equipment Integration development experience (SECS/GEM / OPC/ OIB)
•5+ years experience with modelling physical systems in software.
•Development experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as Critical Manufacturing, Camstar, Eyelit, SAP ME, Apriso, Work Stream, Factory Works, PROMIS.
•Experience configuring SCADA applications such as Cogiscan, Factory Talk, WonderWare, and similar.
•Participation in at least one full lifecycle of equipment integration implementation (Requirements Gathering, Solution Design, Configuration / Development, Testing, Deployment, and Support).
•Bachelors degree in Controls Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Automation related.
•Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of manufacturing and engineering personnel.
•Willingness to support 24/7 manufacturing and critical projects as needed.
•A self-starting, self-driven individual, working to remain motivated and efficient with minimum oversight.
