Sr. Principal SW Engineer: TCS RKE2
Fairfax, VA
Contract Position
Hourly Rate- $93.23
This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:
- Stand up and lead a cross functional team responsible for migrating the TCS Platform as a Service (PaaS) from K8s to RKE2.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Masters degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.
- Secret Clearance
- Superior Red Hat Linux or CentOS Administration and deployment background with a working knowledge of systems
- Extensive professional experience with OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration/PaaS/Cloud technologies
- Certifications: one or more of Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Admin (CKA), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Preferred skills or experience:
- Hands on Kubernetes/RKE2 experiences.
- Comfort with PaaS installation technologies (such as Kubespray).
- Technical leadership experience.
