What youll get to do:

  • Lead and direct cross-discipline engineering team during, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of the Swordfish Program
  • Interpret and lead team execute work assigned by program leadership
  • Interface with functional leadership to secure team staffing
  • Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements
  • Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned of the POD Team
  • Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts
  • The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM-related discipline with 9 or more years of experience, or 7 years with a master’s degree or 4 years of experience with a Ph. D. An additional 4 years in-lieu of degree is acceptable.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and be able effectively brief customers and employees, possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Domain expertise in Radar POD Development
  • Previous Manufacturing Engineering Experience Required
  • Work experience and/or exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, and suppliers
  • Experience with Hardware Design Process
  • Experience in business capture engagement and proposals
  • Experience in Radar POD systems development, integration, and test
  • Experience in product leadership across multiple engineering areas such as but limited to:  Antenna Design, RF Mode Development & Signal Processing, POD Design, Design for Manufacturability, Integration and Test
  • US Citizenship
  • MUST have an Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in STEM related field
  • Experience as SME, Technical lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other engineering leadership role in a program office that demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience directly managing or leading engineering teams
  • Support on product line development and technical roadmaps
  • Expertise understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Test process of a large program
  • Problem-solving experience in a large team environment
  • Active TS/SCI

Role is contingent on candidate having an Active Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
