As part Honeywell Aerospace - Sensing, Guidance and Navigation (SG&N) join our dynamic team working on Advanced High Altitude LiDAR Atmospheric Sensing projects that aim to revolutionize weather forecasting, air travel efficiency, and safety in both civilian and national defense applications. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with a team of scientists and engineers to develop cutting-edge technology.
  • This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on highly integrated team taking advanced technology to cutting edge products
  • Design, Develop & Debug Software - Develop embedded Windows applications using Python and C/C++. Debug mixed language programs and optimize software performance.
  • Algorithm Optimization for production software,
  • Multi-Core & Threading Techniques - Implement multi-core, threading, and process techniques in software development.
  • System Integration - Integrate scientific equipment into broader systems and ensure functionality.
  • Testing & Data Analysis - Conduct tests, analyze data to identify trends, resolve issues, and verify solutions.
  • Scrum Participation & Requirement Handling - Actively engage in Scrum processes and handle ambiguous project requirements efficiently.
  • Lab Equipment Operation - Utilize lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, DMMs, and Logic Analyzers for testing and debugging purposes.
  • Requirements documentation -  Update incomplete or ambiguous requirements. Work with the various stakeholders to collect the missing information and complete the requirements documentation.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in Python and C/C++
  • Experience with embedded Windows application development
  • Data analysis proficiency
  • Experience in issue resolution and verification during testing
  • Able to navigate and work with ambiguous requirements
WE VALUE
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++. C, Python, etc)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of any of the following would be beneficial:
    • Knowledge of LiDAR and Laser technology
    • Experience with optics
    • Atmospheric modeling experience
    • HPC (High Performance Computing) algorithm optimization for production software, multi threaded, multi processing code and inter process communications
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with mixed language programming
  • Experience with higher-level System of Systems integration
  • Skilled in software debugging
  • Ability to debug mixed hardware-software systems
  • Practical knowledge of lab test equipment; Familiarity with Oscilloscope, DMM, and Logic Analyzer
  • Capable of integrating science equipment into systems
  • Understanding of multi-core, thread, and process techniques
  • Certification in Scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
