Position Summary
The Cambridge Springs Manufacturing Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to work with a dynamic team on a wide variety of exciting projects across the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Division. This role may support products across aerospace and industrial business units. Specifically, the team is looking for a Senior Technologist that will be responsible for new product introduction (NPI) and production support, while providing expertise in challenging process development, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing techniques, and mentorship of less experienced employees.
The incumbent must be a highly motivated, self-starter with an attention to detail, excellent communication, and time management skills. The position requires planning and scheduling of daily/weekly work assignments to complete the required tasks on time and in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical and operational support across NPI and production, while managing time and priority effectively during troubleshooting and root cause investigations
Consistently perform daily tasks of varying complexity under minimal supervision
Develop new and refine current manufacturing processes for various products across industrial and aerospace business units
Make improvements and modifications of press parameters, tooling, and processes where needed
Efficiently transition products to production by establishing robust manufacturing processes
Readily communicate and collaborate with internal and external team members in a fast-paced environment to accomplish project goals
Maintain clean workspaces; organize/order general items and appropriate tooling as needed for related projects
A strong adherence to the company ethics policies, safety policies, and quality standards
Ability to gain trust and confidence of all internal and external customers through quality and responsive service

Ability to perform hands-on work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
Experience in rubber to metal bonding, metal processing, and adhesive application
Operate all standard equipment and tools, in addition some specialized equipment
Independently work on tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams daily
Skilled with computer equipment, electronic databases, Microsoft software packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Communicate frequently via written and verbal reports
Demonstrates good planning and organizational skills
Ability to accurately record data and report findings/trends and provide recommendations
Ability to lift and carry up to forty pounds
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
Work Experience
Required
8 years of relevant experience
Or Associates degree in related discipline and 6 years of relevant experience
Or Bachelors degree in related discipline and 4 years of relevant experience
Experience with black rubber or silicone elastomer compounds.
Preferred
Experience with various adhesive processes
Experience with industrial and aerospace manufacturing processes
Basic capabilities using advanced computer skills for Design, Drafting, and Additive Manufacturing
The use of statistical methods & experimental design programs
