The Vehicle Operations facility in York is Harley-Davidson’s final assembly plant, where we also perform fabrication, welding, polishing, painting, and produce parts for all models. We invite you to be part of our team as a Staff Engineer in Advanced Manufacturing. Job Summary: As a Staff Engineer Advanced Manufacturing, you will collaborate with Product Development and Manufacturing teams to develop and implement innovative products and processes. Your role involves supporting the Life Cycle Plan from concept to production across our manufacturing plants. You’ll focus on influencing design for assembly, developing integrated manufacturing systems, and standardizing processes to ensure quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Lead complex projects from concept to implementation, using analytical thought to solve problems and develop innovative solutions.
Drive part design improvements related to Design for Assembly, error-proofing, fixture design, torque strategy, and quality enhancements.
Resolve complex issues related to “Should Cost Analysis” for new tooling and parts.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop best practices for assembly methods and procedures.
Implement JIT and Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Six Sigma, CI systems).
Perform supplier technical assessments and develop technical plans.
Work independently with minimal guidance on complex situations.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and provide guidance.
