Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of structural analysis (e.g., materials technology,finite element modeling, static analysis, fatigue analysis, damagetolerance analysis, thermal analysis, vibration analysis, structuraltesting, etc.) to determine structural adequacy for customerrequirements and regulatory compliance; and to collaborate on structuraldesign, manufacturing, and post-delivery of products.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Openings for both Commercial and Defense
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering or other related course of study obtained from an ABET accredited program
- Requires educational credentials meeting the Spirit classification standards for engineers and typically 5 to 8 years of experience in a stress or structural analysis engineering classification / position
- Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
- Working knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards
- Advanced thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Must be familiar with classical structural analysis techniques, using free body diagrams and internal loads model data
- Candidate must be a resident of or willing to relocate to the Wichita, KS area
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
Preferred Qualifications:
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Detailed FEA, having both metallic and composite analysis methods, familiarity with CATIA V5 or V6 tools, and fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
