The Civil Aftermarket group aims to keep flight simulators up to date so that they are at the cutting edge of the various aeronautical improvements that the industry offers. Our employees design innovative solutions to meet technological challenges on a daily basis.

The System Software Specialist (SSS) is part of a highly customer-facing group that provides post-delivery technical support to CAEu2019s customers, contributing to the companyu2019s goal of being the Flight Training and Simulation Partner of Choice.

Combining the chance to gain experience and acquire new expertise on varied systems, with the opportunity to apply knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity to solve problems and tackle new challenges in the ever-changing landscape of customer support, the role of the SSS offers flexibility, professional growth, and networking throughout CAEu2019s world-wide network of training centers and customer base.

The role we are offering you:

  • Investigate, isolate, and resolve flight simulators deficiencies.
  • Interact with customers around the world.
  • Implement engineering software changes.
  • Set up and coordinate efforts to address issues using remote support.
  • Opportunity to travel on short term trips to customer sites for specific problem solving.
  • Become a technical expert of a specific system but not limited to those listed:
    • Avionics, autopilot, flight surveillance system, and instructor operation station.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences.
  • Knowledge of C, C++, or other similar programming languages.
  • Knowledge of the civil aviation simulation environment, an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Resourcefulness, initiative, good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to new environments.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Willingness to occasionally work irregular hours.
  • Bilingualism in both French and English is required.
