Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Orlando, FL for a Systems Engineer in our Specialty Engineering group. You can help us take on the world’s most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

In this role, you will:

Perform technical planning and evaluates new product designs for potential safety, environmental, hazard, and reliability risks.
Develop and implement reliability and safety reports to prevent or correct unsafe environmental items on an engineering Bill of Material, using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and industrial health and safety laws.
Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Examine plans and specifications for system components, to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
Evaluate BOM items to inspect for environmental & hazard risks as well as fire and safety risk.
Identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations based on Domestic and International regulation bodies. Investigates industrial accidents in the field to minimize recurrence.
Compile, record, and analyze safety program data and delivers to customers.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product safety requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Scope may also include performing reliability analysis and detailed trade studies to support Integrated Logistics Support requirements and interdisciplinary engineering functions throughout multiple lines of business.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Two or more years of full-time engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering, systems safety, and/or ESH analysis
• Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Reliability and/or System Safety experience in a diversity of sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810
• Active DoD clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
