Systems Engineer - Mid/Senior

 

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Systems Engineer - Mid/Senior at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for the following:

    Development of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and architectures

    Configuration, data and work flow management of program specific MBSE tools and processes

    Establishment of protocol / process for integration of engineering tools with MBSE

    Establishment of tools, processes and data architectures for Digital Engineering

    Definition of high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation

    Performance analysis for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cyber security) and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

    Development of verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones.

    Software development, software and test integration

    Analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications

    Definition and coordination of system performance requirements and technical parameters.

    Test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience:

Required Qualifications: ​

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination  of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Desired Qualifications: ​

  • Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
  • Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
  • Experience with systems development and integration
  • Experience modeling or simulating systems
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO)
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, distributions, and sampling

 Telework Availability: 100 On-site

 Work Location: Huntsville, AL

 

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Mid: $81,000 - $144,000

Senior: $99,000 - $177,000
