In this role, you will support the integration and analysis of supplier software certification artifacts while ensuring compliance with rigorous airworthiness and safety standards.
What You’ll DoAs a Systems Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in mission-critical aerospace programs by:
- Leading the integration and analysis of supplier DO-178C artifact data
- Supporting alignment of supplier deliverables with internally developed airworthiness documentation and products
- Applying expertise in AC 17-01 and MIL-HDBK-516C certification processes
- Evaluating safety-critical software systems for regulatory and technical compliance
- Collaborating with engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve certification and technical issues
- Reviewing software lifecycle data, development evidence, and verification documentation
- Assisting with software architecture and development discussions when needed
- Ensuring high standards of quality, traceability, and technical accuracy across all deliverables
- Supporting continuous improvement of systems engineering and certification processes
- Traveling to Oklahoma City 1–2 times during the assignment if working remotely
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
- Typically 9+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong background in airworthiness certification within aerospace environments
- Hands-on experience with AC 17-01 and MIL-HDBK-516C processes
- Knowledge of DO-178C software compliance standards
- Experience supporting safety-critical systems
- Strong analytical, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in software development
- Software architecture expertise
- Familiarity with EN-EZ office tools or related systems
- Previous experience supporting supplier integration programs
- Ability to work independently in onsite or remote environments
