Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Systems Support Analyst shall analyze and solve computer problems, test and implement cost-effective solutions, and provide support for efficient daily operation of data processing systems. This day-to-day support of finance information systems is performed in a highly collaborative team environment. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Administration of finance information systems in the corporate environment
  • Troubleshooting of new systems and existing system
  • Managing the projects and documentation for the multiple applications, and training of end-users
  • Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required as well as be on call at all times
  • Managing communications with third party vendors as well as tracking and installing updates and new versions of software as needed
  • Coordinate with various companies and government agencies to ensure systems are fully compliant with various contractual agreements and compliance
  • Candidate must interface well with end-users and management, in-house team members, and 3rd party systems
  • Interface with employee base to analyze business requirements, and translate into effective solutions within the business environment
  • Provide end-user support, and troubleshooting of all of these environments
  • Migrate and manage custom developed code to platform servers
  • Stay abreast of related technology, and recommend future system enhancements, software purchases or system upgrades
  • Provide technical input to assist in development of project plans for projects intended for use in these environments
  • Provide technical input to assist in development of project plans through detailed work breakdown structures, and timeline estimations
  • Provide written and verbal status reports to IS and management, and be able to effectively set expectations with users
  • Be able to multi task several competing requests by gathering, or estimating task priorities
  • Periodic overtime during critical times required
  • Help ensure daily backups are functional and running, periodically test restoration of content to ensure data is viable
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and business operations
  • Possess strong interpersonal and team skills including ability to positively interface with users, vendors, user management, and peers
  • Able to gather and document detailed requirements through customer interviews, and systems analysis to qualify and quantify new projects
  • Utilize good organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, while achieving deadlines and effectively communicating project status
  • Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture
  • Possess strong sense of urgency
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical communications skills to effectively interface with both Operations and Information Services Personnel
  • Must be able to translate technical solutions into business solutions
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills including crisis management and resolution
  • Able to work well with others in a collaborative manner, and be a self-starter with minimum supervision
  • Team player capable of working in results oriented environment
  • Honest, positive attitude, adaptive to changes and hard working
  • Results oriented and customer service focused
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science or IT/IS Business related
  • 4-7 years related work experience with a record of increasing responsibilities
  • Administration experience with multiple information applications
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle databases
